217 Films was formed in 2003
for the purpose of making Cleophas and His Own.
In 2008, we released our second film,
Visible Silence: Marsden Hartley, Painter and Poet
Our third film, John Marin:
Let the Paint Be Paint! premiered on
December 11, 2009 at the Portland Museum of Art.
We are an independent film
